COOKING FOR DOGS
Charlotte Brontë, my 14 and a half year old whippet, recently went to see a cardiologist about her heart murmur, as a precautionary measure for her flight on Pet Airways from New York to LA. The cardiologist gave her the thumbs up to fly, but also mentioned how healthy she is for her age.
Om Shanti,

THIS CHRISTMAS GIVE THE GIFT OF HEALTH, SEX, AND HAPPINESS
Christmas is a time of permission to eat, and so candy and cookies and other highly refined carbs are gifts that people give and receive during the holidays. People also give perfume, body lotion, and cosmetics. Cosmetics have some of the nastiest ingredients; it’s really like giving your loved one poison. My grandma used to talk about a friend of hers who murdered her husband (ostensibly intentionally) by feeding him nothing but hot dogs. So I suppose you could commit the perfect crime that way. So there’s a lot of potential for giving unhealthy gifts and indulging in an unhealthy way.

When I was in the sixth grade I decided I would babysit to make some extra money. I put the word out in the neighborhood and a couple down the street called me. When I arrived they were all dressed up like Don and Betty Draper, ready for an evening out.
