NO IT’S NOT CHRISTMAS, IT’S ANOTHER BOOK PARTY

My dear friend Annette Matrisicano is an artist and most of the rooms of her house are utilized as art studios. She’s leaving her Christmas tree up because “It makes me happy to come home, turn on the lights, and sit in the living room with a glass of wine.” So here I am giving my talk about my novel Karma with her Xmas tree as a prop. Pictured eating pizza is her daughter Sarah (who told me she read Karma in one day), and who is deciding between medical schools now.

And her former husband John Matrisciano, who is a surgeon said he didn’t remember telling me how to set a nose, but he helped me many years ago on this manuscript. He also read Karma and told me that all the medical facts were done perfectly (thanks to Marjorie Gies who vetted the book—who is giving me a party today!). Even though it was a small group, they were all fun and receptive to the subject of sex trafficking and eager to read the book. Om Shanti!
